I have a big plan, the webmaster already told me he can build it all, and plan is fully created.

    Now my question is:
I need investors, but obviously to get investors I have to tell people my plan. How do I go about protecting my idea so no one copies it while I collect money for this website?

    Thanks!

Well, short of filing a patent, most people will suggest that you use a NDA (non disclosure agreement) with the parties that you're disclosing to. Technically speaking, I agree.

That being said, most investors won't sign one, so you're in a bit of a predicament. However, if you're looking for real investors (rather than Uncle Bob's friend Tim), they're not interested in copying your idea. They'd rather give you the money and let you do the work.

I wish I could be more help, but the only thing I can suggest is to find a way to let investors know what you're in such a way that you're not giving away all of your secrets. Hold back the information that would allow someone to copy what you're doing.

    Just my $.02...
