I am thinking about a financial website based on affiliate incomes..

I will be brief, as I don't want to bother anyone. I am thinking about making a website promoting credit cards, personal and payday loans, which generates incomes through affiliate websites. Weak points: I don't know anything about web developing, besides some failed attempts to make some websites in wordpress, and I have basic SEO knowledge. Strong points: I am a good writer, even if I am not native, and I also know the topic, as I work in a bank. I want to hire an Indian company to make my website, to compensate the weak points, meaning developing and SEO, and I am willing to write and promote this website with all my forces. My questions for you would be if you think that I can succeed. Do you know good programs on those topics? The competition is strong on any keyword in this topic, so do I stand a chance to get some Google searches? Most importantly: is it possible to succeed with affiliate programs when your only strong point is good content?
