I am targeting a niche in the USA, but I am based in the UK, so my question is how do I target the US market? How can I set the ads to run for a particular time, say from Eastern Standard Time (EST) 7am to 10pm. Please advise as I have entered all my details into Google for adwords under the UK, but I am targeting USA and Canada. Help needed - please...
It's very simple. Create a "New Campaign", in the campaign settings page that loads, select your target country as "United States". You will also be able to set the campaign times in the same page. You can target the whole country or select state or city. You can even run your campaign on weekdays or weekends and on a particular time alone. So head to your adwords account and click new campaign button.
It is perfectly normal. I've got a UK based site that was initially meant for the UK folks only. When I noticed I'm getting yank traffic, I started to include more international things and topics Ok, here's how to tackle the ads: 1. Click on the campaign 2. Click on the ad group 3. Click the Settings tab 4. Change campaign settings 5. Locations and langs -> edit -> set to the USA 6. click "Exclude areas in selected locations" If you don't have much analytics data and your campaign is new, I'd create three different ad groups for California, Texas and New York (different time zones, thus different campaigns) I wouldn't bother with other states for now. 7. Now back to settings -> "Advanced settings" -> Schedule -> "Show ads all days and hours" Play with the calendar and make sure you understand the particular time zone.
While we are on this..Is it possible to do select a national region but minus a few cities. For example, selecting England, GB but taking the city London out of this ? Thanks
They say it's all possible with the big G Here's how: Please follow my previous post till #5 a "Select Location" pop-up appears - select United Kingdom as your target location. 6. Now click the "Custom" tab 7. Click "Exclude areas within selected locations" at the bottom left 8. Go to England -> London, select and click "Done excluding" Did you know that you can also select custom areas by placing points and joining them on the map?
