I am submitting each of my blog posts to 30 - 40 social bookmarking sites every day!. Is it ok? Or is it not good for SEO? (Should I not submit in all at once?)

 

There is no need to submit everything in one day. But u have to do daily,...
Try to do link link exchange with other blogs....

 

i can submit all in one day, thats not a problem, but will there be any penalty from google for generating lot of backlinks within a short period?

 

Penalty from Google not possible but may be from social bookmarking sites due to duplicate content or submitting same page again & again with same content cud bring penalty from any social bookmarking site.....

 

google gives penalty for spamming links in social sites.

If the content is the same each day, then it will be defined as "Duplicate Content" by Google and the link will be ignored / discounted / penalized / or what ever.

E-Press Releases have the same problem - Duplicate Content

The bigger question is, will the pages (the link) be there in 3 months when Google starts counting them? SBM site start archiving pages at the 2 month mark or move the page to an archive directory. This will nullify your work.

Since you have been doing this for a while, can you show us the data on how long the links stay "SEO Good"?

I'd suggest using different titles and descriptions for the best SEO benefit, and to submit other sites to the social bookmarking services if you don't want them to disable your account for spamming.

 

Submitting all under the same account? It may look funny....

 

according to me its good for traffic.You can also try RSS submission and directory submission too.

LOL, only submitting your own sites is spamming the social bookmarking sites.

 

I dont think so submitting own sites is spamming, most sites allow that! But if u submit 5-10 per day its spamming, but i submit 1 article to 30 - 40 sites every day..

 

You're not spamming if you are manually bookmarking your own pages in a social bookmarking site. That's what social bookmarks are for. As long as you're promoting your own, original content via manual linkbuilding processes, go crazy ... The sky's the limit.

 

I would not continue this long and check my stats as to who are giving me best traffic and reduce the number from 30 to 5 probably.
