When Microsoft talks security, it's best to take it with a pinch of salt.

I am using " rising antivirus " for 7-8 months now and never had any viruses problems and believe me , no one downloads files from the internet like me. Am always on internet wich is the first source of viruses and " rising antivirus " kept me so secure, It's always updated and It do it by it self , It don't bug me in any way. Work silently , keep me secure , and It don't affect windows speed.
    P.S: I've tried many of antiviruses such as " Norton " , " kasperskey " , " nod " .... So I know what Iam talking about

Surely there were better alternatives to Norton before MS brought this out?!

Norton is the best pc protection solution available. The only reason i dont like it is because it is overpriced. And talking about other 'free' antivirus solutions, none of them stands out, all are the same with their UI being the only distinguishing factor. Microsoft's security essentials is the only one left untested, i hope it is not a failure as was microsoft's previous similar venture.
