A few days ago I woke up to find one of my sites blocked by Google Adsense from displaying ads. The account is not disabled, only one site on the account is blocked. Since 2004 this site has earned Google $xxx, xxx.xx in revenue and everything has been fine. It is a highly reputable, large site that is well known on the net. I have received ZERO communication from Google as to why the site is blocked and my numerous enquiries via their support forms have gone unanswered. Adsense doesn't have a contact phone number and even their Adsense support group is broken so I can't post a message there. No, I did not click my own ads. When a site is earning like this one, that would be stupid. Yes, my contact email is working fine, I've tested it with multiple people. I'm frustrated about the lack of communication from Google and how difficult it is to get in contact with them. I truly expected better. So beware publishers, it's not just the small sites that can be treated poorly. No matter who you are, you can wake up one day to your site being banned and no efficient means to rememdy the situation.
they may have recieve alot of invalid clicks. people thos paying for adwords are you and me. so they take care of us. but i can feel your pain too. try to contact them via phone... in which are u are?
Ya its very sad. We put every effort to make a site successful and some day we come to know that site is banned. And no further discussion is happening.
The site earns about $800.00 a day in affiliate sales but thank you for the suggestion. I have, but thank you for trying to help. There isn't any phone support for Adsense. If i'm mistaken and there is a number I can call, then $20.00 goes to the first person who gives me a number that works and allows me to get some answers.
can you post a link to your site? Since its a large and well known site, you shouldn't have any problems with posting it adsense recently changed their TOS, or you could have had something on the site that they only noticed recently?
Still no communication back from Google. I don't even know what to say at this point. If a large publisher like us is being treated this way, I can't imagine what the smaller publishers go through. I just sent another email:
Well, I hope you get some communication. If you don't, start a website for google adsense scams, and make it big. When google sees the website, they'll start to get scared. There was a website a while back that my friend did like that, and it actually worked. They un-banned him, and said it was a misunderstanding.
Our main site (the one that was banned) has over 100,000 very loyal members who would go to bat for us and create all sorts of negative publicity if we asked them to. However, I prefer to keep things professional. But due to what is transpiring, I have contacted Ask.com as I am interested in helping them gain some ground so us publishers have more choice when things like this happen. 100,000 geeks (I mean that in a loving way) can do a lot in this day and age to change the tide.
The exact same thing happened to me. And because Yahoo and Microsoft are in beta, there aren't any good alternatives. This proves that Google has a monopoly. Do what I did and contact the Federal Trade Commission and volunteer to testify regarding the Google acquisiton of Doubleclick. Google needs to be sent a message and helping to block that acquisiton and thus remove a little of their monopolistic powers will go a long way in doing that. I've rated this thread 5 stars so others can see what to do.
100,000 members? That is amazing and puts you in very elite company. Can you divulge the site? With the millions of pageviews you get every day, you should go directly to advertisers for ad placement and bypass the middle-man (Google). Good luck getting the issue resolved.
When this happened to one of my high traffic sites, I simply switched from AdSense to ValidClick. Since then my CTR went up compared to AdSense and the overall income from that site increased as well. I still use Google AdSense on some of my other sites though...
Get a lawyer. This is just another example of Google bullying people. Their blatant lack of respect for publishers is really starting to aggravate a lot of people. If it were me I would not let them get away with this. Get some answers from them in whatever way you can.
Get a lawyer...the lawyer is going to say "Did you click the button that said you accept the Terms of Service?" You'll respond "Yes, sir, I did" He will tell you "Good luck, then"
O sorry, I forgot the TOS said that they could ban you for no reason, steal money from you, then don't try to explain anything, I forgot about that. Zsales forget what I said before.
