haha and there are quite a few people like that!

I actually have a site like what you say and even though each click is not that greater value, when your getting a 1000 clicks a day its well worth it!

A friend of mine has had a similar idea, albeit regarding a different age-group. He told me that most of the ads clicked on one of his websites were relating to products that people over the age of fifty would/could/'should' require. If one sees that the teens market is somewhat saturated, then perhaps time is due to pad-out the 'over fifties' market.

Of course, people in their later years are particularly shrewd when it comes to spending their cash, especially online, but their intrigue could get them clicking, and that's presumably where we-the-webmasters can profit. When i see my Dad online and the fact that he's about as click-happy as a three year old then I really wonder if he is the sort of demographic to target.

I see that the anti-aging market is pretty saturated at the moment as is that for menopausal supplements but there are many many more products that target the so-called 'SAGA' age-group. Some of my thoughts are:

    - Holidays and cruises
    - car insurance for those with lots of no-claim bonusus
    - pension and early retirment plans
    - health products
    - cheap telephone calling-cards for calling family abroad
    - nostalgic products from 'their youth'
    - pet insurance
    - sailing boats

Maybe I am making some wild assumptions and putting two-and-two together to make three but I really am intrigued.

    Any thoughts?

Then explain why my video game sites have the crummiest CTR of all my sites!!! Because teenagers are ad-blind, especially on message boards AND RPG games. Yes, I got an RPG game, AND an arcade.

n00bies, they don't know what they are talking about!!!!

Wow thanks. Talk about market research.

I'll try markets that target this demographic.

yea. but both teen genders are lazy these days (as i am one), so making some kind of website for lazy teens that go online a lot would be a good niche. like video clips time waster or something similar lol

Which makes sense, as advertisers only have so much money to throw at an audience less-than-likely to spend it on their product.
