    No offence but the reality is how reliable is alexa data. My directory has reasonable alexa rank (60K) and it gets 2-3k uniques a day, however another site I have gets 8k uniques a day and is in the 100k region of alexa :confused:

    Its not a big deal as such it just invokes discussion about how unreliable alexa is especially for sites that get large numbers of webmaster visitors. You will have no doubt noticed by your adsense CTR for that site that webmasters dont tend to click ads either :(

    my directories have a higher alexa ranking then my arcade :p and my arcade is 3 months old, my directories are like 1 month old (both)...

    1 directory is in the 200,000's
    another in the 500,000's
    my arcade is in the 550,000's

    (and my arcade gets more visiters then my directories.. its weird)

    I like alexa, I even recommend it on my site, but I do point out its not perfect..

    Alexa rankings are the most easily faked rankings on the planet, if someone wants to fake them.........

    Not saying you are doing that! Just pointing out, they are easily faked, so should always be taken with a pinch of salt, unless they are constant over a LONG period of time.

    I found, before I had the traffic I have now, when I was starting out, that on days I used I.E with the alexa toolbar installed my alexa rank shot up s(((tloads, but on days I used opera it sank down into oblivion........

    Sublime Directory, this is your directory that gets thousands of hits a day? How come it is so empty? Oh, I think I answered my own question, $14.95 listing fee but for a one time fee that is not too high but I guess there is too many free directories out there. I just launched my first directoy www.2ListNow.com and so far it is going well.
