I am ranking on Google India!???

    I don't want to rank in Google India, yet after loosing my rankings from page 1 to page 4, I have started to rank well in Google India. Again, I do NOT want to rank there and I only want U.S. traffic. Any idea why the heck am I getting indian traffic? (No offence but my site doesn't cater to Indian audience).

    How can I remove it from Google India? Any ideas?

    I just checked, my sites also rank on google india.
    I'm not sure you can do anything about that. (and imho I think it's good if there are US people living in india but you may have another reason to want to be removed from google india ;))

    Nopes, I am not in India. Why does that matter? Or does it? Anyhow, I am not located in India. I am in U.S.

    Any idea why this is happening?

    Dont feel bad the same is happening to a few of our sites and no clue why as we are in the USA and not india or elsewhere..

    what that means..?? Is your site ranking high for the keywords that are not related to your site..??

    You will rank in Google India better if you site URL is .co.in or .in something..

    Websites have different ranking on different locations. You want to rank in google USA so concentrate on that. If you rank well in India or china or anywhere, why does that bother you? let it remain. Lowering yoiur ranking on other countries will not affect your ranking in US in any way.

    Actually, I am with GoDaddy so I am not sure if that has any affect on my rankings?

    @Tenduklar2: My site ranks high on keywords that are useless for indians as in, we do not provide any services to people in India.

    So there is no way I could get out of it?

    NO ! Try it your self, make a site on .in domain, your site will rank better on google india than google.com :cool:
