I am Ranking #4 but No traffic

I am also experiencing traffic drop since past few days, any recent algorithm change ? Or possible reasons

 

You need to check the position at the google webmaster tool.

 

@jalanbk , its not only you but i am also getting 0 visitors daily, my site is also on G's 1 page, and my keyword has around 90,500 searches per month, i hardly get 1 visitor some day...

 

This happen only when your keyword is short keyword
For example you can found that there is over millions search volume on the keyword - game
The fact is the search volume include all the game words such as online game, rpg game, game shop etc, and the actual volume search for the word - game is very less

 

Does the first result on your page have the new 12 pack sitelinks?

If yes, it will obviously result in a lower CTR to your page.

Have you checked your rankings on different computers? Personalisation of results can sometimes throw up an incorrect picture of your rankings. Rankings also tend to fluctuate during the day- the order you see in the morning may not be the order you see in the evening ( this obviously depends on the keyword though)

Also, is the keyword a seasonal one? Is the 300,000 figure an exact search one?

All we can do in the absence of the keyword and site in question is just speculate.

 

Sometimes this happens, it's always a good idea to do some keyword research is a niche or keyword will generate the traffic even if you rank reasonably well

 

what is your webmaster tool report ?

 

There must be something wrong with the keyword volume, normally a top 5 listing would get you a lot of traffic with 100k exact search volume, if its global, than you discovered the problem.

There are keywords which has 250,000 global searches, but exact is less than 1000... make sure you have the right thing you´re chasing

 

Thanks all for your responses... I can not reveal the KW and Site because of Obvious reasons...

And webmaster tool confirms My ranking for the particular KW but shows almost negligible traffic...

Anyway After seeing all response it s also evident that I should look for some other way to solve my queries...

 

I think that the problem in the domain name,,Because no one is looking for the keyword for your site.Try to use ( google keyword tool )

 

I think the trend of this keyword is poor, so you got low visits from google.

 

I think you should choose more relevant keywords to your site.. make well-written blogs,articles n press release.. connect with social networks, do event every monthly with new stuffs that this will generate interest amongst traffic.. then, people start to connect with you, and start to read about your site......ok
