Not a bad idea. Especially if it could bring in enough money to pay for the surgery! But somehow I think the doctor would not allow it...

Even if you do it at home yourself, watch the bruises healing up. It would be a positve thing imho. Do you have a digital camera?

I do. Nothing like Tim's, of course, but I do have one.

But when I do post picutres of me on DP, I'm going to post a nice one... Not one of me looking like I've been run over by a truck! I want them to allow me to get in the pool at the pool party! ;)

catcher's face aside (and I assure you I'm not making light of your injury) it would be kinda cool to take a picture a day or every other day of the healing process and then we could loop it :)

but I could understand not wanting to show the damage too so no pressure ;)

I like the idea of a healing series. There was a guy who took a picture of himself everyday for several years then posted a slidshow. It was neat. You could do the same thing. A pic a day and then slidshow it.

I took some more pics today. The bruises are starting to turn a wonderful yellowish-green color! Except for the bruise on my eye, that's still a lovely neon-purple color...

Do you mean the actual surgery? That is supposed to last 1.5 hours.
Or do you mean the hospital stay? I'm supposed to be able to go home on Wednesday following another exam with the eye doctor to make sure they didn't screw up my vision during the surgery.
Or do you mean the entire healing process? The stitches come out in a week. The bruises & swelling (yes, I'll get new bruises and new swelling from the surgery) will just eventually fade, just like any injury.

I can't wait until it is all over with... Until then Mr. Vicodin has become one of my best friends. :D :D

that's a pretty quick surgery though or do you have more than 1?

my poor wife broke her arm in college...must have been the doctor's 1st ever operation...either that or they bused in some 5th graders to operate. took them 5.5 hours...for a broken arm (near her wrist!!??)

baboon heart transplants don't take that long! The neck surgery for Christopher Reeves after his accident was only like 4!

 Don't even say that! This better be the only one. He said it was a pretty easy surgery. Maybe he's just that good. IDK, but thanks for giving me something extra to worry about! :p

Just wanted to say hello and give everyone an update...

I'm home now and recovering from the surgery. The surgery went well, but I'm still swollen and sore and miserable.

I'll be abck again in a few days...
