While I am happy for your achievements, I just want you take caution. First of all, the ideal way of making money from Google Adsense is getting high search engine traffic. This is where the ad clickers are. Since you admitted that your traffic comes from your dedicated friends, I think this will hurt you later. This is because Google Adsense may suspect that you are inviting your friends to click your ads even if you do not. I have heard a lot of complaints from bloggers who got banned from Google Adsense because of the same situation. Actually, some of them are my friends. But of course, I am not among their ad clickers. The problem with having too many friends as your visitors, is they tend to help you make money or may click your ads as a reward. They become uncontrollable, and I just hope that won't happen to you. Hope that helps.
Yeah I was concerned with that as well, I will try to grab some outside traffic at the end of this month, either advertising or link exchanging with the same niche.
I am glad you do. However, I still don't consider link exchange as it is like inviting traffic exchange. I would still insist link building the natural way, like article marketing or simply creating useful contents. As you go along, some bloggers may then make a post about them and include a backlink to you.

Do you mean PLR articles? I haven't tried them so I cannot give you an idea. But if you will buy articles, you must read them and change a bit so they may sound original. Make sure that they can convey the right information towards your site. Hope that helps.
