How about a music site? I am planning to build a music site. users can rate, comment, listen, etc music on line. The site will with good UE in jquery and flash(use wimpy plugin from http://www.wimpyplayer.com/index.html) I know songza.com is good music site. do you have some advice or recommend site for me? thanks a lot!
um, its hard work. I'm creating one also. You need to build lists of people that are waiting for the site and start a little buzz so people know your around. Building a site like this is also a little hard, but if you can find the scripts and stuff than that part should take less time.
There are a lot of music sites already Make a new one if you have something unique going. You need to market it a lot before you can get good enough traffic. Make sure you obtain the right licenses to avoid any legal trouble. With music sites, you must have a brandable name and you need to make 'individual pages' popular
yes. I do have my unique features which different from others. except this, I don't care about the traffic and licenses, because I developed a crawler in java, all the urls of the mp3 are from other's site, and I will show where these links are from to user when user listen on line.
There are a lot of music sites just like there are a lot of other sites. You just need to work hard on it and you can do well.
