I am planning my own CPC company, I need your recommendations

    I am planning my own CPC company, in an untapped niche (I can't explain more yet).

    I wanted some honest answers from the community.

    1. Should I allow CPC, CPM, or Duration ($xx/m) be chosen by the publisher, or should I stick to just CPC.

    2. For CPC, should I set it at a standard rate ($0.10 CPC universal), or should I let the publisher choose and if that ad spot's inventory isn't sold, zero ads are displayed?

    3. Advertisers: What do you generally spend per click [average]?

    4. Publishers: What do you generally aim for earning in CPC as a monthly average, obviously you want a high number but what are you making now, and what is your niche

    5. For an affiliate system, would you rather earn 25% commission on referrals for 6 months, 10% forever, or a $xx one time bonus for a referral?

    I recommend you partner with larger companies and use their advertiser base for % of their advertiser bids and the reason is REACH.

    Advertisers don't just bid on a valid, quality prospective customer [a pair of eyes] they bid on reach [number of total eyeballs].

    If you have been in business a long time and your advertisers may pay you ten or twenty times as much as they will pay me [a newcomer] even if my traffic converts as well or better than yours. The reason is reach. You reach a larger market share and they need growth. They can't afford to not be on your first page but me the newcomer will have such few visits that they may not want to bother and if they do they don't feel compelled to drive up the cpc bid.

    If my bids are one / tenth of yours, i can partner with you for half % payout and still be way ahead, and never have to deal with advertisers.
