Hey guys i have a tech blog here -
    www.techsplurge.com

the blog is kinda new, started on the 1st of this month. I an trying my best to post about 3 good posts everyday with my partner along with other works like submitting the posts to social bookmarking sites.

But i am not getting good amount of traffic. On somedays its more than i expect and on another its far below from what i had expected it to be :(

so i thought it would be best to ask you all guyz cos you are experienced ones. Is there anything my blog is lacking or its just fine and i should go on like this?

btw. Do tell me about the blog load time please. I haven't activated the cache plugin yet. Moreover i am trying to keep the blog design as simple and minimal as i can.

Really, it is a very nice blog. Looks great. I would reccomend advertising it with free methods such as article writing, forum posting, directory submissions, blog commenting, social bookmarking, social networking.

Yeah, your blog looks really good...nice job!

Give yourself some time. You said you started it on the first of this month? That's not even a week old!

    Also, get the word out:
    - participate on "tech" forums. Write a catchy description about your blog and put it in your signature file and link to your blog (do that for this forum too!)
    - Start following other "techy" twitterers and some will follow you too.
    - write articles about tech stuff, submit them to ezine, go articles, articlesbase etc. and link to your website.
    - set up accounts at web 2.0 sites (squidoo, hubpages, Google Knol etc.) and link to your site
    - comment on other tech blogs and mention yours.
    etc.

    hope this helps a bit.

either way, I think you're on the right track. Just keep doing what you're doing, but add some more promotional activities to your schedule.

Wow what a great looking blog. I would suggest you just stay consistent and everything will fall into place. Keep writing for people and not the search engines as well!

I absolutely love this blog! I bookmarked it. Are you submitting your articles to Digg and other submission services? That will help. Also tweeting/facebook your posts will drive traffic too. And lastly, what about backlinks? Do you have any? If not, I would recommend going out and creating some as that will help google rankings.

Hi , I just visited your blog. I liked it's design and simplicity. You will get traffic slowly and it will build up day by day.

It'll take some time to get some real traffic to your site unless it goes viral for some reason. Just keep working on being involved in the social communities and talk about your site and get the word out.

    Site looks great!

Myspace was giving a free $50 advertisement credit last week and may still be giving it out.
I believe the promo code is "Valentine"
I'm testing them out now with $5 per day set as my allowance.
TIP: Use the CPC and not CPM. You get a lot more bang for your free buck that way.

Great blog! I also recently started a blog, but on a completely different topic (Internet Marketing). Since setting up the blog, I've gradually been gaining traffic through marketing strategies such as the ones suggested above. Keep it up!

I'm probably not a part of the target audience of this blog (I don't really keep abreast of tech stuff), but I really liked the easy to read, simple layout. Loaded really quickly for me too (and i'm running a dinosaur computer...almost EIGHT years old!!!). You've already completed one of the most intimidating parts of your journey....jumping in. I'm still sitting on the bank wondering if the water is too cold.....

Post some ads on USfreeads promoting your blog. I know that there are alot of positives and negative reviews all over the internet about using USfreeads.com but I love them. I have alot of ads running with them (I have the premium membership which does cost $9.99 a month) but with the right keyword research and nice looking ads with pics will generate significant traffic. The $9.99 a month is well worth it and it is alot easier than writing articles (which I do also) or posting on Squidoo (which I also do) but I just love them and no not promoting them. I am not an affiliate with them. I use them for my affiliate sites but I don't promote them (I can't because I do the majority of my marketing with them and I can't promote them on their site) but it is definately a good tool to use as a part of your marketing. Keywords with less than 2500 views a month are key. Bold and Center the 1st line in ad and make it the same as your subject line.

thank you so much for the info buddy, will check it now xD
what is the main source of traffic for your site ?
thanks. Reducing the blog's load time was my main aim behind the simple design :)

i'll check USfreeads too cos really want to see a larger part of my traffic coming from US :D

To increase your rankings in the SERPs, you should continue to build quality inbound links for your Web site. You currently have 115 inbound links. In addition, bear in mind, that search engine optimization (SEO) can take a while; it can take up to 6 months or longer to reach your desired position in search results.

Also, what key phrases are you trying to rank for? I see your brand name (TechSplurge) has been placed at the beginning of your page title. Are you trying to rank for the key phrase tech buzz which has about 50% keyword prominence in your page title?

Make sure you don't submit every article to stumbleupon, or you will get banned
