I am using SBI's International VISA Debit card. I forgot the password and now I can't purchase anything online. When i contacted the bank branch they said that i have to register my mobile number to a SBI atm in order to receive an OTP when the password changing process asks. But the problem is that I have registered my phone number via SBI atm and still not getting otp. When I try to change my password through the forgot password option it says "Enter you card number, pin, account number and otp". Now I have no idea on How to get an otp. I have also contacted the customer care and all they say is "You need to contact the branch for this issue because it is not a technical issue and we can't look into it.". If you guys have any idea, please help me. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
- Try registering your mobile number at the ATM. - Check with bank if your mobile number is successfully registered.
Make sure that the SIM you are using for your banking is not registered with DND registry(Do not disturb) if yes, just unregistered it. If the problem persist try to add a new mobile number with different operator. May be it will help you.
I've also faced the same issue when I have registered the mobile number with ICICI bank. I'm not getting OTP but I'm getting normal SMS from bank. The reason behind is that, my mobile number is already registered by someone else for OTP. It means that this number is belonging to someone else before me. Now, the thing you've to do is 1) Contact the customer care and ask to whom your current phone number is belonging. 2) After that claim that you're the current owner of this number (by providing some detail which will be asked by customer care representatives.). Though in this case your call will be transferred to senior member. 3) Once the ownership is changed, you'll start to receive OTP and if you've registered any other number for OTP before, you've to deactivate it. Other than that, I don't find any other issue related to OTP. Thanks! Anurag
The reason is fraud Gradaute Degree holding female staff just showing in Bank branch of SBI are making things not required and these female staff don't fear loosing to humiliation if you try to do them in face. These young female staff didn't even cleared any papers required to have the job in and chair they are alloted. Maybe senior female Banking staff allowed these girls to sit when the seats were empty as some staff goes out of branch for few weeks. Just make life hard as possible of these Female banking staff of SBI.
