i am a newbie and i have a good traffic too .... but the problem is that i have not earned a single dollar yet from adsense ...... whats the reason behind it .....
Good traffic in the sense, how much? Can you see the same traffic as impressions in your adsense account? If yes, then you must be getting ads that are paying $0.001 per click and you may not be getting enough clicks to become $1 or higher, otherwise your site must have been banned for showing adsense ads. In this case, you will not get any payment for that site though you see ads on your site and getting clicks. Your account will not be banned because you might be having other sites which are good ones.
Patience is an essential quality of a marketer, if that's what you want to be. There are many successful online marketers that only started enjoying the fruits of their labors after struggling for a couple of years or so.
May be your blog niche is low paid and you are having traffic from Asian countries such as India or Pakistan etc
This tells me you are not targeting anyone. I dont know what your site is about so I cannot say. If you build a site with several keywords in mind that you want traffic from, Google will then know what types of ads to display on your site. Ofcourse, your visitors are coming to your site because of the relevant content that is on it.
It's probably due to one of the following reasons (or a combination): 1 - Niche is not in "buy mode" and therefore is not interested in clicking ads. Nothing you can do about this. 2 - Site is too "general", and therefore is not having relevant ads being displayed. Make sure each page has a specific keyword phrase / theme. 3 - Poor ad placement. You can experiment by changing the position/size/color of ads. Best, Adam
Yes, i believe in this.. and 1 more.. don't give them (users) 100% what are they looking for in your site.. "make them feel the desperation" and let the ads fulfill that (to the rescue) and that will make them click. On that, the placement of the ads are very important.
There are many reasons why your earnings could be low. As someone already mentioned, the nature of your site could be simply such that the users are not actually interested in clicking on any other links related to the content on your site (possibly because they found the info they were looking for). Making good content for adsense is a form of art - in one way the content must be interesting, useful and impressive, but on the other hand, it is good not to give away to much information because the visitors will more likely click on some of the adsense links in search for additional (related) information he/she is interested in. Hope that made sense
You really have to play around a lot with adsense to earn $$$. For instance you have to experiment with ad placement and ad sizes and the theme if you are using wordpress and be sure to provide lots of quality content that is consistent with the type of ads that you will like to attract. It took me a while to really get this and now I am seeing consistent earnings with Adsense.....
Traffic is not everything, you need people who click too. These days many users have AdBlock installed
