I am no expert - How to tell if your site is hacker safe

OK, I have recently purchased a review software script and am merging it with vbulletin.
I don't really have experienced coding skills to check this new software incase there are security holes because the 'company' I bought it from sounds like it is just one guy on a mission (which really was a silly thing to go buy from him, but we all make mistakes and need to make the best of it).

Is there any software you can use or any experienced coders who could help me out to test if the coding is safe to use in a live environment?

Get those programs, where it looks for vulnerbilities and holes in your site. Same one's hackers use to hack your site ^_^.

I have my site hacked once , the problem was the script contained a backdoor trojan which passes the data to a remote site as soon as installed . So if you are unsure about the script double check it for callbacks and backdoor trojans .
