Ok, I am not new to Affiliate Marketing, but sometimes I am just confused and don't know what to do. I feel that I am doing something wrong, when I don't see good results of my hard work. Currently, I have 30+ reviews on my blog, but they don't produce the results I am looking for. I don't have problems with writing reviews for Clickbank products, I actually like doing that, but the problem is targeting necessary keywords and rankings in SERP. Let's say if I chose a product to promote, for example, Adwords Miracle, do I need to choose keywords first for it? Or I can just write a review of it without targeting any specific keywords? Another thing is the title. Obviously, it's a review of Adwords Miracle, so my question is: what should be in the title? "Adwords Miracle Review" or the keyword that I am targeting? The bigger problem is, if I don't target any keywords, then what do I put in a title?.... The reason that I don't want to put "Some Product Review" in title, because there is almost no traffic for those keywords, it means there is no point of targeting them. One more thing, that I am not sure about, is whether it's better to put your own meta description for search engines including keywords, etc, or just leave it like that to allow SEs to find whatever they can. Seriously, I am lost. I definitely need some help with my reviews on my blog. The reviews them selfs are alright, but I am not sure about keywords/titles/metatags......I need to do something, to make them more noticeable in SEs.
Alright its not as hard as you are making it. Before i explain how to do it i would suggest that that if you have decided to blog. Dont review random products on one blog instead have one blog targeted to that niche and add quality info and put reviews once in a while of related products. If you want to review all products on one blog than use some other methods to drive traffic to each product page of blog like for example write articles related to the product and point it to the review. I will give an example.... Adwords miracle You first find some keywords that people would search who may be interested in your product. In this case its internet marketers and more specifically PPC and adword marketers. Now go to your keyword research tool and type in "ppc how to" "ppc what" "ppc when" "ppc where" "learn ppc" "ppc lessons" "master ppc" try as many variations as you can and you will find long tail keywords like for example searching for ppc how to will show you keywords like "how to market through ppc" "how to make money from ppc" I use that question+keyword technique to come up with keywords that you can easily write about and that help solve peoples problems or questions. Once you have enough keywords of your niche write article on those. Link them all to your review page of adwords miracle and tell them you learned adwords and ppc from that program, whatever the hell it is. In your review page you can target more general keywords like for example in your title Adwords Miracle Review- Learn And Master Pay Per Click Now that title is optimized for following keywords "adwords miracle review" "adwords review" "learn adwords" "learn pay per click" "master adwords" "master pay per click" I hope you are getting what i mean here.... I gotta go but if you have any further questions, post here. I will try to answer them asap Goodluck
jaree Thanks a lot for the post. I've decided to put all reviews of products on one website/blog, and I got quite a lot of them now, so I don't think that I will move them. Anyway, thanks for idea. I think I am clear now about keywords, so probably the best I can do now, is to rewrite the reviews and this time target specific keywords? Or should I change the title, and include few keywords there? Because if you read my reviews, I didn't target any specific keywords there, but still I got some of the keywords, because they are related to what I am writing... What about meta tags, meta description? Should I be worried about that? Or just leave it for SEs to do it automatically?
You are doing reviews of internet marketing products where people know how to change the affiliate links to their own. Move to another niche like health or rocket languages or regsitry cleaners. Your reviews are "ok" and you have enough strong backlinks from ezine articles to be making a killing. Good luck
Hi Jaree, Thanks for sharing: I just have a few doubts in my head...hopefully you can share more about that. So are you saying that blog review for a specific niche is working well for clickbank product? And the main traffic source is from Article and Search engine by optimizing the key phrase. What about other traffic sources? PPC.. Would you suggest doing a single review for a product on the blog and point all the traffic to that review? But you also need to optimize some other key-phrase, so i would assume that you will have some related content for that product and link back to the original review page, am i right? Would you mind telling us how do you structure your blog in your experience that works well for example promoting clickbank product? Main blog? yourblog.com Review product 1 yourblog.com/reviewproduct1 Review product 2 yourblog.com/reviewproduct2 And so on.. Thomas
Blackman this is method that has worked for me. I know your not new to this but I'm just sharing. One place to test your campaigns and grab new keywords for your blog is squidoo but that is another subject. Lets use sell photos online as an example .... This is my next project and fresh on my mind. Title would be ... Sell My Photos Online Keyword meta and don't get me wrong but everytime I follow the neysayers on don't use that tag it just kills my traffic ... it may just be me. keywords ... sell my photos, sell photos, make money selling photos, selling photos, selling pictures, sell pictures, photography career, how to make money selling photos A description I may use ... How to make money online selling you photos. If you are into photography and have always wanted to make money with your pictures consider checking out our new hot product on how to sell you photos online. Oh and I must add. On your important keyphrases 2-3% density at most. It pays to use the keyword density SEOquake plugin on the top ranking sites because fore some reason some words are lower or higher in density but it is a good "blind starting point". I use the firefox plugin SEOquake to determine that. It is a formula that works for me. It is not perfect but once the traffic trickles in and it almost always does I tweak the page or post. I also use this method quite a bit on WP sites. I really feel the next important point is always try to make your posts at least 350 to 500 words minimum and take advantage of throwing those keyphrases in.
make sure you include keywords in your posts and titles of your blog and if you can include it in your urls. Also make sure that you have a good number of backlinks to your blogs!!
Yeah, I know that make-money niche is very competitive, but I can't just leave everything like that, and start all from scratch in a new niche...Some time ago, I was thinking about a website, where I would have lots of reviews of Clickbank products...Something like all-in-one blog...That's exactly what I am trying to do now... The problem is that, reviews don't bring any traffic....I get all my traffic, because of other content on my blog, and that doesn't make me feel good. Actually, the reviews should be the main source of traffic for my blog, not the rest... Pfff, don't even know where to start now...
Nice site. I would more aggressively try to get optins to your email system. Develop more of a relationship and then your sales would go up.
Just my thoughts: A quick search on google for the term "Adwords Miracle Review" did not display your page in google's search results. on msn and alta vista it showed up @ position 31. Now, how many people would search till page 3 or 4 of the search results? All your reviews seemed to speak in glowing terms about all the products. Online marketers(your potential customers) can quickly deduce that you are just promoting the product for a commission. Are your reviews showing/explaining/reviewing anything new about the product that the other websites which showed up within the first page of search results did not? Do you explain how you used the product nd your experience with it?
Another way, that I am thinking about is to get traffic to the blog not by using reviews, but using other content, and if I build up high number of traffic, then it's likely that the visitors, who came for something else to my blog, will also read the reviews. I don't think that I will be able to optimize my pages that much, so I can get on the first page on Google, on make-money type keywords......So probably the increase in traffic using other content, would be the best for me. What do you think?
I think you are in the wrong niche and other content won't really make that much difference unless you are targeting adsense revenue
agbeyegbe Yea, you might be right But, I am not going to leave everything like that, and start from zero....It's a tough niche, but it's profitable as well. Anyway, thanks for help everybody, I will try to find a way to solve my problems.
Yup ... real tough niche. I take it you are also doing some article marketing. That was how I was able to stay in that niche along with selling posters which can be lucrative. I won't go into detail how I sell framed posters but I am not marketing them as such. Had to really think outside th box such as ... The same applies to make money online niche.
reapr Yes, I am doing some article marketing as well. I got my reviews on Squidoo and Ezine. Also I am planning them to put on Hubpages, US Free Ads and some other places. Hope it will help me to get noticed...
bl4ckmaN^ When marketing lenses or my wordpress sites I did get a few conversions from usfreeads, it just was not worth my time. THough I have no doubt some people are doing well there. I suspect it would have to do on the product. I found it more lucrative submitting a few dozen articles to ezinearticles, isnare and go articles. isnare has a an option to distribute your article to hundreds of sites. Just make sure your isnare articles are not even worded loosely off your ezinearticles or it could cause grief like a suspended account. If you want a few more tips such as article distribution and ebay relating to lenses feel free to PM me.
I have a thought yesterday about all this, and I am thinking about creating a simple blog or lens for each product I choose to promote and write a review for it targeting some long-tail keywords. If I choose the right niche and the keywords, I don't see a reason why I should have any problems.
Hey Blackman, I don't wanna be harsh or anything here, but my first thought when I saw your CB Business Guide blog was "messy". In my opinion, everything looks all cluttered up and messy. KEEP IT SIMPLE! K.I.S.S. Principle, remember? I see you recommending your product a lot, and when I personally went over there to download it, it took me quite a while to find it. Not only do you want a clean and good looking blog, functionality is essential too. Also, one more thing, which could very well be the reason your reviews aren't converting: Your reviews... they're not reviews, they're sales pitches and people know it. The best converting articles are the ones that sound like a humble and honest recommendation, you have to describe YOUR experience with the xyz product, what made it work for you and what didn't. If you have the product and found difficulties in using it, TELL THEM! THEN you tell them how you overcame that problem, and you can pack that solution together as a bonus for them buying through your link. Also, I see that you're promoting Affiliate Project X... If you've actually read the book, I bet you'd be making a lot more money from your reviews. Just my 2 cents, I hope I helped
lemonarian Thanks for your opinion. I will think about that. Actually it's not just about the reviews, because if there is no traffic, who's going to read the reviews? Because the products that I am writing reviews for are too competitive or keywords are too popular it's difficult to get on top of Google... I think it I had more traffic, things could be different..
