Hello This is Atul from cityweb . I am loosing the internal links to my site on the google . Previously the total internal link was 264+ and now in the span of 3 weeks it's drop down to 25 can anyone give me reason and how would i control that .
Have you ever done on site internal linking flow? Most of the issues come from the change that made not properly. I have seen one case the internal link dropped because he had changed by added a huge of internal link to template, counted as sitewide link. It could be both positive and negative side effect depends on how links you organized. If you are overdoing it then it would be considered as Spam attempt from Google perspective. Otherwise if you haven't change internal linking structure, then you should check seeing if your current internal linking structure has some duplication linking issue or not. Have you guys ever read what OP said? Or you just posted whatever just to plugged your signature links in? Contribute is better than just spam plugged your signature link.
may be, your backlinks content is not quality because Google always track quality work...well do quality link exchange with PR website and get backlinks..
don't panic, google is doing crazy things since more than a month, many ppl in DP reported a huge changes in their webmaster tools backlinks.
Does your traffic and search positions are affected too? If not then you should not worry about it, just make sure you gain quality backlinks soon.
