I am looking for an experienced person that would be willing to guide me and correct my most obvious mistakes. Someone who would be willing to Skype a few times a week and be somewhat of a friend. As for payback... I would be willing to do different services and errands for a few gems from an experienced professional. If your plan is to exploit me don't even bother, I'm extremley alergic to any sort of dishonest behaviour. Contact me via PM and we shall see if we can make a worthy allegiance.
I work for an SEO company and I'm also an SEO consultant. However, I probably wouldn't offer my services free of charge and I hope you can understand that. Your best bet might be offering to pay money for a 1-2 hour session of consulting where you can ask any questions you want and the consultant will give you his most informative answer. I could definitely provide this for you at around $65. Which is probably, far less than what most others would charge. SEO services can be expensive, however once you know your stuff, you should be well set and you can apply your own time instead of outsourcing.
Honestly, I wouldn't drop too much money on the learning process or ever really seek out a mentor/guru type. Everything you need to learn to get the basics down is readily available on the internet for free. Especially in the field of "online money making" or "seo tutorials", people are practically shoving the information down your throats in an attempt to catch your attention. Spend an hour a day gathering information and an hour a day implementing and testing the information you receive. See what works and what doesn't and learn from the process. Don't spread yourself too thin on the overwhelming amount of choices offered. Be patient. Search engine results are SLOWWW. Many people give up on a good strategy far too fast.
You still need some help... I'll point you in the right direction. Shoot me a PM with your Skype handle.
Hi, You can join my facebook page in my signature or follow me on twitter @seospain Be happy to help although I am extremely busy. Don't mind you posting some questions to my wall or sending me a direct message on twitter.
I as well am very busy but can help here and there. I disagree with the person that says to just read all the free stuff that is out there. Reason: There are so many articles and techniques out there, most of my SEO students need to get their head to stop spinning before I even talk to them. Reaching out to the forum is a great idea. You do need to learn from someone who has done it successfully versus just reading "all there is". I guess I'm not sure why you'd want to test all the ideas out there until you found one that worked when there are those here that will assist on what works. Besides, by the time you get done reading everything out there, the Google algorithm will have probably changed.
