What is the problem with Google analytic tool? So you don't want to use them.

 

I don't think there's nothing near as useful as AWStats or Urchin. You could try phpMyVisits but you'll need to include a .js on every file.

Google Analytics doesn't work on clients that have disabled javascript, or that have explicitly blocked the urchin.js file.

I wouldn't recommend Histats. It will slow down your site and when you visit their site to look at the stats you will be bombarded with lots of ads with flashing pictures. We use statscounter and find it good. Not perfect, but good enough for our needs.

 

You can try http://piwik.org/ it has a similar interface to analaytics, but it is open source and powered by php+mysql, so you don't have to worry about visitors that disable javascript.

google analytics or any other javascript stats tool do not show the real count. So I use AWstats..

 

I cant wait to hear how you came up with this... if you are talking about AWstats in your hosting control panel then it is extremely in accurate.

We have proven this time and time again by comparing stats from Google Analytics to AWstats and then to our Ad Server.

 

how does google analytics handle browsers with disabled Javascript ?

 

That is an something you just have to deal with... we dont use google we use quantcast, but in our case if javascript is disabled the ads are not going to show so we dont need to count them anyway

 

my website do not have ads.. I sell shareware.. so I need to get exact visitor stats.. how inaccurate is AWstats and any reason for tat ?
