If you want linux, my recomendation will be hostgator. I am using for more than 3 years I am preety happy with their service and support.

Price is very cheaper compare to others.

It looks like hostmonster has the best deal right now. Any experiences with them?

I've been using hostmonster for the last 6 months. So far it's been great, but their support is kinda slow.

As unusual as it may sound, Yahoo (as expensive as they are) is one of the most reliable hosting providers I have ever been with. Get this: They have reimbursed me for about 6 accounts I had with them after I cancelled those accounts. No questioned asked (they deducted some money depending on how long I had those accounts with them, but still I was reimbursed a lot).

Their support is excellent. Their interface is simple.

I'm using Lunarpages and Hostgator. They don't let me down.

I had bad experience with HostGator. They were good for a while, quick response to minor problems. But then they made a very dumb mistake that caused the mail server to stop working and their support couldn't figure out what happened for two weeks. I had to change to another hosting service. YMMV.

Try webhostingtalk.com for lots of discussion and ratings of hosting companies.
