I haven't searched for it but maybe I'll try to google it later tonight. I'll let you know if I find anything.
That's grossly inaccurate. Will Smith is a great actor who has done sooo many great movies. I-Robot, Men In Black, Wild Wild West, the list goes on.
In all of his movies, there seems to always be an attempt at him "trying to be funny" as if he is still on the ancient fresh prince show. I just can't take him serious...that's only my 1.5 cents.
I guess I never saw that in him, but your entitled to your opinion, didn't want it to sound like I was "disproving your thoughts", just voicing my disagreement with them ;].
I think if it wasnt for will smith, it would have been a horrible movie, I think it was alittle less than average, so not really recommend it
I'm going to spoil the movie, so don't read this if you care about that.. I thought will smith did pretty well acting in the movie. They made him a bit too crazy though. Quite a few people seem to have noticed the similarities in acting ideas in Tom Hanks' Cast Away and this movie. The thing is in Cast Away Tom Hanks was gone for quite a bit longer and was in fact quite a bit less crazy. Of course he didn't have wired crazy people running around screaming. I think the story would have been more believable if they simply switched the 3 years, to 6 years. And anyhow, why didn't they just all get into the little space? Seems like it will be hard to have a sequel with the main character, especially one who can bring in crowds via name recognition, dead. Of course its a movie so it shouldn't be all that hard for him to come back..
It would be a good sequel only if the first one was a 4/5 or 5/5. Seeing as it's a 3/5 imo and the character, Smith, (and to a lesser extent the doggie ) are dead, it's not going to have a sequel and if it does I'm going on record saying it will be terrible.
No, it was not a remake of Omega Man. The two movies have two similar plots...that's all they share. It's a common misconception though, don't feel too bad.
Oh, and I forgot to add my opinion: I thought it was pretty until after the part that the unfortunate being dies. After that it was sad but it just seemed like the movie got worse from there on. The ending was a bit disappointing, he was supposed to be the last man on Earth, and I didn't like seeing that he wasn't.
I didnt really like it much, it was ok but not great, ads made it look much much better. i would rate it maybe 5/10
awfull product placement and pretty much as every other hollywood movie: the black guy dies and the other good guys make it :]
i persomally liked the movie, it was intresting and suspensful at times Scientists are really trying all crazy things to cure these diseases. and will smith is a pretty good actor 4.5/5
