I went to see I Am Legend yesterday and to tell you the truth I was quite disappointed. After all the hype, the buzz and the large scale promotion it was quite a disaster. The movie succeeded well in it's storytelling, I think it was freakish aliens that really annoyed me with this movie, I got the feeling that they put aliens in the movie because they could not think of another way to incorporate action. In the end the movie did not really have a message as such, it lacked morals, messages and I do not think the film ever had a super-objective as such, it seemed like the cure was a bit of one but the director did not succeed to embrace it as the super-objective. I give I Am Legend a 3.5/5 That's the Movie Review for Today!
Sad, sad movie. One of the saddest I've ever seen, imo. The underlying theme of Smith being alone and then (SPOILER AFTER THIS TEXT) his dog, his only companion, dying, is pretty depressing.
The trailers look cool but after watching the movie I am a bit disappointed about the direction of movie especially the ending.
the trailers sure made me curious about the movie but when i saw it, i feel like it has something missing...sad story indeed especially on the dog :'( but i think its good. its like watching resident evil 1 lol
Seemed like an American version of 28 days later to me...:/ Didn't think it deserved all that hype people gave it.
It's a remake of the Charlton Heston flick called Omega Man. I really like I Am Legend. Some people claimed the infected people were vampires, but they actually had a hybrid of Rabies, but that's all I'll tell you. Go see it!
You could make that argument about a ton of movies, including 28 Days Later (which I liked also, except for parts toward the end).
I was a bit disappointed, but I liked the film. I thought it is action, but... Smith was very good in that role and his emotions is the only thing I will remember from that film.
28 weeks later is waaay better than 28 days later. (28 days later was actually rather awful) As for I am Legend, the ending sucked. Overall the movie was well executed, but the story just sucked. Could've been a lot better. If you've ever wanted to watch will smith talk to himself and a dog for an hour, and i don't see why you would, you're probably one of the few who enjoyed this movie.
I expected an epic story or something.. The movie wasn't that great but the end ruined it even more..
The end is totally crappy! And those were not aliens. Those were all humans who got caught by a disease. I'll give u 3/5. Hey..that movie is in top five in IMDB.
