Hi, I've just been alerted by my hosting company - Hostgator, that my web site A Traders Universe is in violation of their terms of service because it references FOREX. I have been told to remove it or have my account closed. This is pretty scary for me so I need help in finding a host that will not have this restriction, and also one that will have an easy process of transferring all files etc over. I also have an addon domain in the account. My other concern is cost. Hostgator was charging me $9.95 a month, and I liked them basically because of what they offer is what I need, no more no less. I'd really like to avoid having to pay much more than that Any help really appreciated Dean
Your going to have a hard time finding a company that will allow that. If you do end up finding someone they will most likely be offshore. As a starting point I'd look at the offers here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4 Start looking through there for hosts that offer what you need. Then email them and ask if thats in violation of their TOS or not. Any decent host will offer to migrate your site over for a small fee if not for free.
You should try http://www.webhostingtalk.com and perhaps post asking for recommendations of hosts who host forex-related sites. Alternatively, why not visit a few existing forex sites and see who they are hosted with? ~ Sirius Lin
