There have been some great people in the world that have had a message of love and peace. To often a "religion" was built upon that message only to lose the original intent.

I like your idea for a "campaign of love" as long as we don't make a religion of it

The reality is, campaigns turn into religions and result in the same problems we are trying to stop here.

    What did you say?

The P&R forum is a battleground where everyone attacks each other's beliefs & leaves angrier than they were before they started posting, not a place for lovy-dovy bullshit :p

Ha! I think you have to have a bit of a thick skin to post in a forum like this. Let's face it if you have some deeply and sincerely held beliefs and someone, even politely, says "Actually I don't think that's right" most people will try and defend their position.

I agree, I will stand my ground but at the same time I will do my best not to insult the other person. Otherwise I will miss the opportunity to learn anything of what they have to say. I have my opinion and I will state it, but I love hearing the other opinion. How else is one able to grow?

Totally agree. Although sometimes it's hard on a written forum for people to know what is implied as there's no inflection in the written word. A comment that may have been meant ironically or even supportively is read 'wrong' and a row ensues. Smilies help a bit, saying:
    "Yes you're really clever!" :)
    is obviously supportive whereas:
    "Yes you're really clever!"
    isn't so friendly!

PS - Love the use of the impersonal pronoun! A sadly under-used feature of English IMO. :)

Does your beautiful campaign of love also, in part, stem from a mind being rooted in a culture that is the mix of all religions among the world?

I think the rest of the world has alot to learn spiritually from people of India..

Most regions on the Earth are homogenous in religion..

Like America, India is a leader de facto rising from the diverse cultural/religious mixture experience..

    And loving that women leadership!

    ..all the best

Herein lies a problem though. It is impossible to be a true follower of Christ, and follow anything else. The Son of God said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life...". Salvation, is accordance with the Bible, comes by repentance from sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. There is no room to embrace anything else. There ought to be peace, but you cannot unite. "What communion hath light with darkness?"

Human history goes before 50000 BC , so I am just wondering why God was so unkind to send all the souls who was born before christ to Hell by default,
When someone says my religion is the only way to reach heaven, and rest are just crap- that is the problem

Do you know anyone on the earth in 50,000BC?

God made His creation for His glory. No one deserves Heaven, so to say He is "unkind" is to misunderstand man's position before God. Man has no right to any mercy, but God has lovingly provided a way whereby mercy can be obtained...through Christ.

I think the point he was trying to make is what has happened to all the poor souls who died BEFORE Christ's birth.

As salvation doesn't depend on 'Good Works' but on acceptance of Christ it's no good saying "Well all the righteous ones are in heaven." Where are they? (That's a sincere question BTW, I'm not asking it in an antagonistic way)

The design of the Old Testament ceremonies and rituals, where designed to point people towards the coming Messiah. The sacrifices could never take away sin, but they were intended to encourage faith in the One who would come to sacrifice himself.

So, salvation before Christ, came by faith in Him, just as it does after He came. Therefore, every soul throughout the world, who didn't have faith in a coming Saviour, perished, as they do now.
