Hi, this is my first post here. I have been building a Twitter following intending to drive traffic for a product of mine and now have become very interested in affiliate marketing. I have been able to drive 400-500 hits per day with Titter and can easily build my network by 30-40 times this. Can i convert this traffic with clickbank products? or should I put my efforts into other SEO marketing, Ezine etc.. I am planning to do article marketing, blog marketing, soon but I am wondering how effective Twitter can be, my followers are targeted and i just started marketing CB.

We have had some results through twitter, but not as strong conversion rate as article marketing for example, but if your traffic really is targeted as you say then I think it should convert - probably now is the right time to try it and test it before doing the work to grow it 30-40x - I think generally traffic from twitter can be easier to get but converts lower, but if it leads to similar sales in the end then who cares really right?

It's really hard to convert social media traffic, but that's true of any monetization method.

For my Natural Tinnitus Cure Plan - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1713278

I'd create a focused group of Tinnitus sufferers and then promote the product that way.

Basically the more tightly focused you can make your twitter followers the better chances you'll have for conversions because they'll be more pre-qualified as a potential customer.

Thanks for the opinions. I will continue to push products that have the best chance of conversion for Twitter then share the results. my suspicions are the same, likely take much effort for little result.

Yes you need to make sure that when you are sending traffic to a product that it is targeted! This is the same for everything not just Twitter, if you get loads of targeted followers on Twitter in a specific niche then it can work very well.
