    I would recommed to look at http://www.devart.com/dotconnect/mysql/ this is a great product and gives you all the functionality as if you would work with MS SQL. It is not free, but it is really worth its money. It will save you a lot of time and makes everything much easier. There is a free trial, so try it out.
