I am getting a lot of hits from a keyword, but..

    I am getting a lot of hits from a keyword, but I don't see my self listed when I search. I even used one of those tools that check different datacenters. What does this mean?

    It mostly happens temporarily when you have a new page or post indexed. Due to the high bounce rate your article might have encountered google pushed it to beyond the 5th or 6th page. It is normal. Once your site reached a good age (>1 or 2 years depending on your competitors age) the you will see consistent rankings
