I am gettig traffic from West Coast

    Any one can explaine, why i am getting 20% of my traffic from California, where i am NY IP address and website?

    I am in local, East coast market business, and don't really need or can provide service to west/ mid US customers.

    So, my question, how to go about it. how to minimize that issue, if can not be eliminated.

    You should list your sites in business directories pertaining to your area. Where is your traffic coming from? Do you have analytics to figure out what keywords people are getting to you from etc... please give more details. Also what keywords are you looking to target?

    You should make a point of getting more links from sites or pages related to your area. You likely will still get some of that west coast traffic, but this will increase your local traffic too. It may help to list your physical address on your site. You might also want to try getting more links with the name of an area that you do service, such as you are doing with your 3rd signature link. As sappcomglobal said, directory links will help too, especially ones that have regional sorting. To eliminate some of the out of state inquiries, you could be more clear on your contact page or about us page.
