Okay, I have this website, www.theopentalk.com well, this website I have had for a while but recently decided to move it and rebuild everything because it had died down quite a bit, it was showing a PR7 on my google toolbar just a few hours ago and this morning but now is showing a PR0, though I just checked with MANY different page ranking tools and all but one I tried said it was a PR7 (I tried MANY tools) How did this happen and what is going on? Please help

Cruise-Access? What is that website? lol That might be it I guess, but that alone is only a PR6, plus, why are many tools still showing a PR7 even now and google toolbar was also for a while after I moved my site. And how did you come up with that anyways, just out of curiosity? I'm still confused, but I guess that makes it a slight bit easier. Someone please answer my questions. lol

Hm... Perhaps it's my computer or something temporary, I'll find out, but if anyone else has any explanations please share. Oh, and Hon Daddy Dad I assume you're using the standard Google Toolbar? lol, just feel like checking, PR7 is a major thing to be curiouse about.

lol, I wouldn't know, it has like 2,000 pages indexed and like 500 links indexed, they'd have to be pretty good links. I had many articles written for it and submitted to places right before I stopped the website, how could it be a fake PR? I'd just like to know how or why you say that because I have no clue how I even got that high of a PR, I do know that it should have a PR and though shouldn't it stay a PR7 though until the next time Google Updates?

P.S It has so many pages indexed because it used to be a pretty decently active site.

 It's showing PR7 again, oh well, perhaps my computer was messing up, I've been having a lot of problems recently. Oh well, well, it isn't a faked PR, I know because I own it, lol, unless someone else did it for me. I do know though that it used to be extremely active but I gave up on the site because the host sucked and would not move my domain name, I check on it recently and the PR went up so I worked hard to get it back. Now I own it again. There was marketing done with many articles since that was one thing the site was used as, a place where articles were made, every post was an article and submitted out. That and I had some dedicated members that did work to help it expand. Though I recently moved the domain to another host with a new account and a brand new site. I guess I'll see if I can built it up again. :)

MCDar tool shows PR 7 & PR 0 in some DCs. Perhaps thats what you are experiencing. ;)

Anyway the PR is fake as fryman pointed. Just try searching your own domain and see. Also try checking the backlinks, you will end up seeing a sitewide from carriers.org. Even after checking the HTML of carriers.org you will see only the link to www. cruise - access . com

This PR will be lost in next update.

Okay, well, thanks for the help everyone. :) I'm glad I know this. Man, I wish we new when the next update was.
Hm... I noticed that the majority of the website's linked from them appear to be from the same owner but are all PR7. Is it possible had listed me for some reason and removed me than the PR will be gone at the next update?

Hey, even though it's fixed...check if you added the "www" part or not, because Google gives different ranking for:
    http://www.aaa.com
    AND
    http://aaa.com

That's how Google does it, don't ask, it's just how they do it. And most of the time, the "www" has a bigger PR..
