Hi... Recently i have started a project, M developing a custom CMS Using Java content repository API, JSR 170 http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=170 sudhir
It will be based on JSR 170, so it will b vendor independent, it will be able to work on any jsr170 complient content repository, content repository can be based on database, local file system or any thing else, repository can be changed without any change in application, I am using Apache jackrabbit. support for themes. custom content type, any number and type of custom fields. caching, workflows. Every thing will be based on standard java specifications. Any one can suggest me, what other features should i include. thnx sudhir
Hmm, not to be the devil's advocate but you have to keep in my mind what does your CMS will offer that the existing and established CMS do not. Good luck with your project. I'm looking forward to using your CMS on my sites.
- It will be based on JSR 170 specification, so it will be repository indenpendent. - Can work with local file system, or database - Built in capability to create custom content type with any number and type of cutom fields. - Secure,I m planning to use JAAS ( java authentication n authorization service) - Better support for search ( I may use Apache lucene) - Versioning support. I am still developing the roadmap for the project. I would like to hear wat do u expect from a custom CMS.
