I know this is very going to be simple question for someone but I am very much confused. I can only see 2 incoming links with following command: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...nk:http://www.cheap-directory-submission.com/ But the G Uncle is showing 98 Incoming links without “http//:†command http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...n&q=link:+www.cheap-directory-submission.com/ I need your valuable suggestions so, I can get benefited from my link-building efforts. I have always used the same url |http://www.cheap-directory-submission.com/| for getting links from other sites. Many Thanks For Your Time! Best Regards, Manish
You've got 98 results on the second one because there is a space beetween "link:" and "www". Here is the same query without the space, same number of results http://www.google.com/search?num=10...w.cheap-directory-submission.com/&btnG=Search
Open my site http://www.cheap-directory-submission.com/ and click on "Backward Links" button from google toolbar, they show only TWO backlinks. Thats why am confused....
Monty: I have checked your query: http://www.google.com/search?num=10...w.cheap-directory-submission.com/&btnG=Search But the google shows only TWO Back-Links. They show 98 without "http://" and a space.
notice link%3A+ in the url you have a space between link: and the url check it without space here... http://www.google.com/search?num=50...w.cheap-directory-submission.com/&btnG=Search
http or no http is not the point, you've got the same numbers of results : 2 The difference beetween 98 and 2 results come from the space beetween the link command and the domaine name. The proper query to know the number of backlinks is the one without the space.
you have more than two backlinks, google doesn't show all your backlinks, use link: or linkdomain: in Yahoo to find a better idea of the amount of links that you have.
