Thanks, this is very good info, it was hard to drag this out of you hehehe. Green to you. Microsoft Windows Vista Home Prem Eng OEM 1pk 32-bit costs $150 by the way.
Yes, I should get 4Gb RAM, Vista Premium, Core 2 Duo E6420, a mother board and a midi tower for $1000 i think.
I suggest you to buy intel e64xx with 1g ram which come to a very good price here if you have more money, you can consider buy higher graded one but intel only
To me AMD and Intel both have good CPU's. I like Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, and Intel for motherboards. Get at least a gig of memory and 200gb of hard drive.
As for me i think you should not buy Vista Basic. I think buying XP professional is much wiser way to go. It will give you much more options for less money and will require less memoery and so on. If you are not looking for last media features then XP is way to go. I think it isn't time to switch to Vista now yet
Here's my advice... try visiting a computer center, or a friend who knows about the hardware.. then from there, tell him/her/them, what you're computer is intended for... then ask them to give you the specs... and finally, go assemble one... From that, you have a computer that fits you're needs with a reasonable price, bcoz you already got rid with those items that could cost you much, but not really useful... But if you have all the money... then go for the best computer that you can find around town!
AMD CPU Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Socket AM2 3.0GHz 2MB Boxed, ADX6000CZBOX 2 gig memory nvidia 256mb videocard
i think it's more about vista cant run basic things like printers scanners cams and sound cards graphics cards and if you are into P2P forget vista. best advice stick to xp
You should add a thumb drive with 4GB, then you will also be able to utilize the RAM Booster that VISTA has the feature. You will get around 30% or more with speed.
Just build it. Most big companies just rip you off. Even when you get a "deal" the "deal" is your PC is filled with crap hardware.
This is very true. The reason your getting such a good price is because your computer has a lot of low budget peripherals.
and dont buy computers with built in video cards. most think they got a good deal but its because the video card is built in. bad for games.
Video and sound should never be on the motherboard. I don't know why every motherboard maker now wants to add them to there boards.
