Hi, I'm wondering if using I-am-bored.com to market a relevant website would work? How much traffic would It bring in. Also, would buying a sponsored link there be worth it? It's 80 dollars for a week.
One of my sites (a niche video site) was featured on their home page, and I got an insane Digg-like spike of traffic. However, the bounce rate was extremely high and the traffic was unproductive, overall..it tapered down within 5 days or so.
I doubt whether it will yield targeted traffic to websites. Nevertheless, still site keeps you hooked for a while.
The biggest benefit to this site is the same as digg and stumble and that is it will give you a chance to quickly boost your traffic and spread your brand to individuals who would have probably never know your site existed before. The traffic hits like a horde of pillagers and is gone just as quickly, but if your content is good a few of them will keep coming back to see what else you have.
