I Am Beginning To Hate Rapidshare

I am starting to develop a hatred for Rapidshare.

Whenever I have to download a file from them it is the same. They say that I have downloaded the maximum I can for a free user and must wait a certain amount of minutes, I only download a file from them once every ten days or so!

I then wait the bloody time and I get this or the next hour or so:

Your IP address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is already downloading a file. You have to wait until it is finished.
Premium-accounts can download many files at the same time. Get your own premium-account now. Instant download-access!

    No I'm not!

now it is saying I must wait 85 minutes as I have reached the limit!

Am I alone here with this?

P.S. I hope this is the right place to post this.

May be you need to wait for the Rapidshare Happy Hours which is a completely free unlimited downloads period. Its generally offered daily but you need to check out with your local time.

It's not unlimited downloading, free users just don't have to wait for their "download ticket" to be ready and there's no captcha. You still have to wait 100+ minutes after downloading 100 MB.

To OP, I think you'd know if you were in a LAN of course. Multiple users in a LAN share one IP address. The other thing is if you have DSL. I think that's the 2 possibilities to have an IP address shared with other users in your area. Maybe there are other possibilities that I don't know of...

May be, you could just disconnect, delete all browser cookies, then connect to rapidshare again.

If you can afford, then get a rapidshare premium account.

He said he downloads once every ten days, why would he buy a premium account? Especially if he hates Rapidshare so much! :D

Dean_Saliba, maybe just try googling for the files you need on other file sharing websites. rapidshare.de for example, or netload.in, or fast-load.net.....

If you want to find, let's say, a file that is named lotsa-smilies.rar , try googling this:

    "lotsa-smilies.rar" "rapidshare.de/files"
    "lotsa-smilies.rar" "netload.in"

    etc.

You are not alone but what would I recommend you to do is to get a premium. Stack up all the download URL, get the 48 hours package and download them all. It is worth the price. :)
