I am absolutely FED UP!!!! What do you do when you find your script on a WAREZ site??

Warez site will be totally closed down sometime soon. Look at the positives - these thieves wouldn't buy your script anyway, so it is not lost custom.

What script writers have to be concerned with is their scripts being reworked and repackaged and then resold.

I am about to release a script that has taken a year to produce. I don't want to encode the script to restrict webmasters ability to hack the code to suit themselves, but I need a licencing system that works. If anyone can recommend the best one, please let me know.

There's only one way to stop warez and runescape is a fine example of that. Make it so that members have to login to a section on your site, have said program run from there. If they try anything fishy it would look pretty obvious.

That kind of thinking is a quick path to nowhere. There's always a solution, you just have to find it.

 

what do you expect, I hired a guy here to work on a clients site and he copied the code onto 400 spam pages, DP has turned into a haven for bullshitters.

 

Im getting sick and tired of Warez scripts also. There are so many good scripts out there that are being zend optimized. I do not blame the script writers at all. I blame the weak Warez companies. I hope they get shut down sometime.
