I am about to cry now! All my email ids hacked!

    Hello.

My Yahoo! Mail account has been hacked two days ago. I suspect someone with email id as he had hacked my previous Yahoo! email address and I had to close the account. I am really very tensed as my all important transaction details and documents are in the mail. Someone can misuse them. I have tried to recover my password. The problem is that I have forgotten my Security question answers.
Also, my gmail account has been hacked! My in.com id\'s have been hacked.
    I am in turmoil.

I have tried contacting gmail, yahoo and in.com but no reply. All my hacked email id\'s were each other\'s additional email id. So, I cannot restore even a single one.

    Please help me!!

I know how it feels when our emails are hacked, i have been through this few months back. Registered a complaint with the Cyber Police India and they helped me in getting back the emails.
However, the hacker will delete all your mails as soon as he gets hold of any confidential information.

Well, somebody hacked my hotmail account today, and just a bit ago I finished talking with windows live support and I should be getting mine back by tomorrow, so I guess there's still hope, I've never had to deal with yahoo or gmail on this subject though.

Hi, it is possible to recover your boxes but you need to go with the authorities of your country and have clear proofs of your identity.

I am a little confused. How is it possible that all your accounts are hacked? Somebody asked, but did not see you reply. Were all passwords identical? If not, you should really have your PC checked.

I have just see a thread in DP, move your blogspot domain to .com extension free. when I login after 1/2 hour one person ping me and say pay $20 to recover my gmail account.

I contact gmail support and within 10 minutes they give me new password.

    Thanks gmail..

He probaly has changed the Security question answers already..
thats probaly how he hacked you, he may have tried the re-set then find out the questions..

Im just guessing but an old email hacking trick is (they pose as another person and ask you the questions in a normal conversation)..

Then knowing the answers they do the reset again and gain your password and then take over the account.

Mabye if you cant remeber the answer to your secret question is because he changed all that shit..

It was either that or a phishing attact where you loged in to a fake link..

How ever he did it, im sorry for you..
Im a security tech and I see this alot..

Hmm... Maybe your secret answers are not secure enough that's why he/she was lucky enough to hack it. If they were a bit more 'secret' then it's probably someone you know (it happened to me once! lol).

I'm not sure how you'll recover it now though, your best bet is to probably create a new account with a completly different username, use a secure password with caps, non caps, numbers and symbols and don't use a password generator. Oh and remember to properly secure your secret questions. Make answers which are irrelevant but memorable (that's what I do ;))

ya, security questions has importance nowadays. i too have the same opinion that, dont use a password which u already know, line yourname123, or anything, use one which u will need to learn, use the password generator service. and dont ever have same pass for all accounts. thats bad.
