I am able to write to the configuration file: (oscommerce)

    I have CHMOD'ed the configure.php file to 644 and still get the error message. Any suggestions??

    It likely didn't actually change. You typically have to do it from cpanel depending on how many levels deep the file happens to be.

    Thanks Nigel for the solution. But when I trued to change it from the cpanel it shows me an error that you don't have sufficient permission. Though as an admin i have granted all permissions. What can i do for that??
