I have seen "myspace" profiles for sale everywhere including here and ebay.com. The idea when I got this domain was to develope a site that one could sell their profiles or apparel or other related stuff... in an auction format. Bid4myspace.com Bidformyspace.com Also: does anyone have any good ideas on what auction script to use? OR would it be worth it to me to even buy a good script instead of just selling the idea and/or domains.
hmm, well i could take my chances couldn't I? I ain't afeared They might just leave me alone......... LOL
Its not worth it dude now is it? If they come after you/sue you, you could end up paying them huge compensation, its not about being afraid or not, its the question of money IT
Can you help me with some possible alternatives?.....Admit it though, those were good dispite the whole money thing.....oh and it' N8 or Nathan or Nate or even poopy head but not Dude <--pet peeve , Please I do appreciate the reality check there. I was wondering if using the whole name of "myspace" might get sticky. But I do think the "concept" is there and a good one don't you agree, Correctus?
Yes it is definitely a nice concept but against the Myspace TOS, so why even take the chance? Research a different niche dude, this one is too risky to proceed on to. IT
WOW Even after I asked nicely, said please and made jokes about it. Credible, Correctus. Class act and all.
N88888, your thread is in wrong section, ask mod move the thread to http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=93 (about script) and you will have better answer. This forum is for domain so people visit this forum might not be able to answer your question
I dissagree Is this not the apraisal string...my original post wasn't specific enough, I guess, and I am sorry about that. Let me start over so I don't wast database space: Will someone please give me a fair apraisal of these two sites, developed and not developed? Than you in advance. Bid4myspace.com Bidformyspace.com
Hi As some of the earlier posts mention - having myspace in the name leaves you open to possible issues IF you try anything related to MYSPACE.COM - so many webmasters are unlikely to even consider it, low interest === low appraisal. On the other hand - if you were to try a different, unrelated (to myspace) development, you might get a better appraisal. Random ideas here - My Space could mean signature sales, or hosting space, or vacation homestays. Sorry if this disappoints you, but I wouldn't put up even a reg fee bid as is.
Jus do it man.. if u fall in some shyte hire lawyers.. Try whatever u wana.. else it jst messes wid ur head with a what if i did blah blah.
DOnt worry about the laywers. You would have to be more than a blip to get seen and at that point you made money and can rename and start over.
I dont think they will take action against you -- all of us have seen tons and tons of myspace resource sites, worst domain was MySpaceSupport.com. All are still running fine.
Or just use the dumb card. Just say I just baught it for 30 dollars pre-made and this is how it was. And if they say then why does it still say 6 moths ago it was registered according to whois. Say that you pushed it another account on the same registers website so the date never changes. Date only changes if it expires and since it never did well... Thanks, ivnj
As long as this is in appraisal and I am in appraisal mood. I would say this one would be better: Bidformyspace.com And for the auction script use phpauction which is already there with fantastico. You might need to change the template of it.
