Here is my page I am interested in knowing if a) the right sidebar is too cluttered; and about the general design of the page b) whether live-chat is an overkill c) if I should use my own domain or should blogspot suffice d) whether the sales pitch is too verbose. Any feedback is appreciated. If you know of some better template, that would be great too. PS A word to the fellow writers and others: I hang out a the BST forums, and even though there are a lot of low-paying jobs, I find that you can make a living as a writer - as long as you can write sensible and grammatically correct articles etc.
a) its not that the right side bar is too cluttered, but its too long (you have plenty of room on the left hand side) -- why dont you make that chat panel invisible until some one clicks it b) as above (its not needed... especially when no one is around) c) depends, its worth getting it right now, especially if you intend to do off site SEO (building back links etc)... if you intend to keep it long term, get it right from the start d) The title and the first few lines didnt pitch your sale.. (this is often all people will read) it told me what you do (from the title) which is good but not where you do it, or how you do it A good way to pitch your sale is to have a few (profesional) pictures showing where/how you write the articles and what services you provide (in as few words as you can) right at the start of the content. That way, the user doesnt have to click a link or scroll down. Hell, they wont even have to move their eye balls Pictures with small titles: Article generation, Article Submission, Low prices $1.5 << These titles will catch the eye far easier than paragraphs of content
