I am a bit confusion regarding posting on webhosting section.
Correct me if i am wrong.

i saw many webhoster post with offer starting $1 , $0.50. but in post i see some package pricing $1 per month or $10 per year, then another plan with price $3 per month or $40 per month. but again there is plan which is $8 per month and $80 per month.

now most web hosting service starts from $3 per month to $10 per month with many plans but in forum rules

Now where should i post my web hosting offers which has different plans according to clients requirement with starting price from $2 to $10 per month.

    please clear my confusion.

I've received infractions for under $5 yet I report posts every day doing the same and I don't think I've ever seen one removed. So it makes me feel like it's selectively enforced.

The duplicate thread system is either automated or it's just as selective. I've reported a few users who post the same topics every day except they change the font size on a heading to one size smaller or larger or bold something and never once seen their threads closed.

Also of course you have this topic saying warez hosting not allowed: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1434172 yet the topics continue to show up and I report some and they continue to go along posting them as well.

So at this point I think that section is either really far behind on reported posts or it's a selective mod system where most users can break the rules with no recourse. I've just chosen to not bother using the section anymore.

The Web Hosting forum is a shithole of duplicate threads, warez offers, and other garbage. Moderators are not policing every thread looking for duplicates as it is nearly impossible to compare the multitude of crappy offers against one another.

It's up to the members to report the offending threads, as honestly, the moderators are likely to deal with that forum about as seriously as the Politics/Religion forum the way the members abuse it...

But reporting threads does not seem to do anything. A keen eye would probably pick up on most of the junk on a visit once a day to that section.

Of course you also have the OP of this very thread violating the rules with their signature but no one picked up on that. "NulledPlanet-Free Full Nulled Scripts & Warez" the title of one of his links which is not allowed. For good reason to no site wants to be associated with such content even on just someone linking to it.

Moderators will not find everything obviously but when you're viewing the forums enforcing the rules you see being blatantly violated really helps. Relying on the users to report every single post it's not going to get cleaned up. Part of the solution is the users knowing moderators are enforcing things. Unfortunately that is not the case so they can just play the odds and say more than likely they will not get banned. So they'll advertise their warez site, selling their spamming services or whatever they want. They get caught well they'll just sign up again and go months again offering and posting the same garbage.

thanks for bringing that up. there are only so many moderators to go around. keep reporting violations, we'll get to them eventually.

That's not true in the slightest. In anything, reported threads are being dealt with quite quickly these days. If the reports accurate, then they're dealt with. I just checked your own last several reported threads, and all that were closed (all but the latest) had in fact been moved to freebies. Keep reporting threads you find that violate the rules, and they'll continue to be acted on.
