I always wondered how the links exchange increase my website's visit....can someone help me which one is more important, as I saw there is Alexa ranking and another is google page rank...what does each mean?? The Alexa rank of my website is increasing each day but there is no change in google PR..why is Alexa ranking so important to my website?

    Alexa rank is not important
Pr is just a number not important

Links don't bring traffic ... links help site get higher RANKINGS (for your targeted keyphrases of course building links like an idiot ... won't get you on first page) Rankings means Traffic ...

The higher PR eventually means higher website authority which eventually means better rankings in search rankings and then, as a result, more traffic for your website.

Alexa ranking is a traffic rank. It is important to describe your traffic. PR is important for a site. You need to increase link popularity to increase PR. But higher PR does not mean higher traffic.
