I don't know for sure what is right to post here in this forum or what is wrong. Just when I seem to get things right, I get an infraction and it happens almost everyday and for almost every post or reply. Who is wrong? May be it's I who is, if you go by the prevailing rules. I read it every time I get a point cost/infraction. But I miss it again despite reading it for one more time after the umpteenth time. So, I think there is a problem with me in failing to understand the rules, and memorize them which have been in force since they are enforced recently I don't know for sure if this is happening to me alone, but it could well be me alone as there is no saying as to what is befalling others in a FORUM because they are rules. Why can't we have rules that are easy to understand/comprehend, remember, stick with and follow, mmm... as easily as, well... a fish which can swim even in the sleep? It doesn't forget that it has to swim all its life and which wing to flutter first and the like; so easy, so robust, so uncluttered and unconfused. I have never broken a rule all my life in the real life, no traffic rule, no other one, never ever. They are not embedded in my mind but I, like with all of you, but I am conscience of the goods and evils and bads of life which are what keeping me alert. So, isn't this good and isn't this showing some way to frame rules, even if the present rules are to be kept intact? Decidedly, I am not against the rules, at least on this website, if there is anything, it's just about all I said above. Sincerely, Alevoor
You do know about creating a thread... to complain about warnings, right? Maybe there was a mistake, you must take your doubt on the infraction up with a moderator (PM them), if you have a question on a particular rule, just post it out here in the feedback section and we will all give you some seasoned advice.
Four out of five of your last post infractions are for the same type posts: I'm interested Sent you a PM. A post that are of interest only to you and thread starter. Two other types to watch out for are Send details. Check your PM. Posts of the type listed above belong in a PM. Remember when you PM anyone in relation to a thread give the URL of the thread to avoid problems. Your posts were: * Would you consider a PR3 site in fitness/weight loss niche? * Interested. I can place your link on my home page if you do the same (Need at least PR3). my url is www.xxxxxxxxxxx.org * Any type of exchange okay as long as: 1. You place my link on at least a PR3 home page 2. your site is not a porn, adult, hate site 3. you place it first Pmed my information * Have a look at my site: http://www.************.org Each of those are on interest to you and thread starter and hence belong in a PM.
I also got a couple of infractions the other day. I tried contacting a mod, but none will answer my messages. One of my infraction was for "inappropriate/disallowed" post. Then it said that the reason is because the OP said to contact them via PM. Whoever give me the infraction simply MIS-READ the thread because it did indeed say "shoot me a pm" but before that is said "Do reply here or shoot me a pm".... now, I think maybe a mod read it quickly and thought it said DO NOT reply here... because it makes sense and would fit, but that is NOT what it said. It's not that big of a deal, i suppose, because I don't seem limited, but to simply get it wrong and then ignore me is quite rude, IMO. I understand they are busy, but that is the reason for so many mods.... to lighten the workload?... anyways, I'm right there with ya...
JoyGoRound and Smyrl Thanks first. I would prefer to wait for some more time before I reply to you and the other posters. But in the mean time, I would like you all to keep in mind, that all that I still have in mind is the thing about the hard nut called rules not the rules themselves as such. So, decidedly this is not a crusade, let's see how others perceive this issue and how it shapes up.
No mods is abusing their powers. Frankly we have far more than enough reported tickets to single out any particular member.
i also used to get infractions at my early times at dp, even got banned for 6 months but as u get more experienced you will hardly attract any.
