Finding a niche is really hard and I spent couple of days to think what niche should I focus on... Not only planning to do IM but also selling products online, I searched ebay (local and US) to find a products that is not available and finally I found one. I don't know if you are aware of Kapeng Barako (barako coffee). This is famous not only here in Philippines but also in US and UK and to my surprise, there is only one seller online and the price is real high. I feel little hope considering that the province where I am living is the origin of this product and I can see this coffee anywhere here in our local market (but very expensive and rare online)... even in some parts of the Philippines, this product is rare and expensive but yet many people are looking... and I don't understand why no one is selling online... So I jumped into bandwagon. I have no problem selling this product... the only concern is the shipping fee that is killing but it's up to the customer... I created a product page in my domain (temporarily) to see if it will work and to my surprise, I sold 1500 grams on the first day!... All to USA.. Today is my second day and I got another 2 orders... This is actually exciting and I am sure I can make more $ from this product when my website is placed on first page of google!! I can't wait to see that... I will be busy by tomorrow packing and going to DHL to ship the products to 5 separate destinations... I almost run out of niche to think when this thing came into my mind Don't stop thinking and research!
Woa. Sounds like you got yourself to a goldmine. Wna be partners? Lol. I'm jokin. Good luck on your future endeavour
Congratulations, However sometimes when you find things like this it is best to keep the important details to yourself, otherwise you could end up with everyman and his dog trying to muscle in on your business. Just a thought. But anyway I wish you much success.
congrats, hope more orders will follow may I know your product price and the shipping fees rate. I just want to know the difference between them no need to answer if you don't like I have some products idea but yeah, the shipping fees to send it will cost much more lol edit: found the info from your site

The niche you get involved in should be something YOU are interested in. If you don't take my advice, take it from the others who are much more successful than myself. The first thing they note is that their most successful ventures (Shoemoney, John Chow, etc.) is that they just decided to put up something they were interested in. From there, it exploded for them because they kept after it and had the interest to keep it going. While it is true that you have to know when to scrap a project that isn't working, the most common time to quit is a couple of months after the website has gone live, the traffic isn't really increasing much, and you're getting tired of marketing it for very little income, or none. Don't get into a site that you don't have a passion for.
Congratulations, you found something that works. You'll be surprised that you are going to potentially see a bit of competition here now, shouldn't of released your secret. Good Luck!
I am actually on the move of offering the shipping for free as soon as my product website is up... Thanks
