Like the tittle said. I almost got into a fight for something stupid.. This morning me and friend stop at the gas station to pump some gas, for some reason the stupid credit thing outside wasn't working, so we decided to go inside, but the line inside were packed and we already running late. My friend told me this "why not ask this Chinese guy to let you go first", for some reason the guy get so upset and offended and want to fight we us( Geez, what for) After everything calmed he told us i'm not chinese, i'm from Thailand. Shoot i can't even tell the difference between the chinese, the Jap, Thai, all of them look alike to me:eek:. Why would something like this get the guy so upset. Does the Thai and Chinese hate each other?.

It would have been better to say "Let's ask this guy". That would have avoided the whole thing.

You obviously didn't ask politely. By the sounds of your racist remark you sound like some punk and deserve a good beating.

I thinks its a bit misunderstanding and you should ask more politely. Maybe he did not understand what you tried to say.

I understand my friend didn't ask nicely and all, but for God sake why would a Thai guy get offended because someone called him a Chinese?.

Because we just wanted to pay for gas only, while the others want to buy other stuff.

Acc. to me Chinese and Thai do not hate each other, but the way you addressed that guy made him furious. If someone assume you and call you by the name of the nationality other than yours, how would you feel?

Now tell me what's the relationship between you filling gas and the guys nationality.

Why did this chinese - thai thing come up in the first place??

your friend would have asked something like -

Hey Chinese ! I'm getting late, let us go! :p
