Shall I take this as none of you ever getting absorbed enough in your work not to remember to save? That's just sad. 9_9 And it's hardly necessary to say that he's learned a valuable lesson 50 times. Yeah, thanks. If someone leaves a candle for a second, or if they happen to leave oil just an inch to close to the stove and their house burns down because of it would you stand there in a group going, "Woah, all your stuff went up in flames. Oh well, valuable lesson learnt here."? Very nice to kick someone while they're lying down 'how do you even forget to save?' 9_9 You see, that happens to us humans sometimes. We just forget.

For the record I CONSTANTLY lose work, both writing and drawings - I've done it for YEARS. And yes, I do have two broken laptops as a result and no I never learn the fucking lesson. Partly because it's not always that easy to remember to save if you're a passionate person who can draw for two hours without even realising that you have! But at the moment it's mainly because my computer is such crap that is locks up and crashes every 10 minutes and saving takes 5 minutes. ^^ So I get to draw for, oh five minutes at a time before saving and re-booting the computer. Yay!

AND I think Photoshop should have an automatic save function, like Microsoft Word - That automatic save function which is there for a reason, which is that it's very easy to forget to save.

Reproduce from memory. You can do it.

    Good practice too.

actually if u never saved it at all there is no hope, but if you have saved and your file becomes corrupt there is hope.

photoshop saves the file in a temp file first everytime you make a save. it then copies the temp file to your filename. so you will have a photoshop tempfile somewhere on your hardrive of your last save.

No,its not possible to get it back.
Most of the artist who use photoshop, save's all their creation or edited after 5 to 10 minutes.
So try to keep it next time.

Don't toss your laptop, bro...that will just be a whole different set of problems. This is a lesson that everyone who uses computers eventually learns usually after they lose a significant amount of work.

Now you know...SAVE like a fanatic.

I'm sorry your lost your template, but you can do it again! Maybe that template wasn't meant to be used and your next one will be even better. Best of luck and don't give up.

Lol...I've got the same "twitch". My left hand is pretty much permanently on Ctrl + S and I save every 30 seconds or so, or whenever I make a change.
