Nice to meet you too. What do you think about Google closed their company in China? Positive or Negative in your opinion?
in my own way On the one hand，in China,baidu.com is a powerful SE。 it occupied 70% of the market，and also it has some other Excellent produce like zhidao.baidu.com，tieba.baidu.com，this couldn't be instead in short time。We were like to use baidu Unless I coundn't get the message i want。I like google.i'll Visit it's website everyday because i think this company is so great，but i think,also a large number of Chinese people think,it's not as esay as baidu。 On the other hand，google isn't get on well with the Government.In China,this means it coundn't get a large number of the Market 。
I see and understand why Beijing Government does not like Google. Google is more look like a threat for them in case of info penetration and censorship while Google also feel uncomfortable with harass activity from China such as hacking one. About Baidu comparing to Google. I think both of them has almost similar user interface and displayed language are chinese (Mandarin). How Google is not easy as Baidu? I just want to know opinion only.
Are you implying Google and Bing are almost the same, or at least very similar? Actually they produce different search results regardless of the same language - English.
Google did not well in localization, so it will not succeed in China. Anyway I think google is a great company, it change our lives just like Microsoft. Good luck for Google!
I did not mean about search result. That would abslute different between them. He said Google.cn not as easy as Baidu.com and I assume he meant about user interface and not the result.
User interface is never the problem, the key is, as Baidu claimed, they understand Chinese better. When you performed a search on both baidu and google in the past, they return quite different results, and baidu results are way more relevant!! The Chinese internet users are addicted to baidu, many of them even do not know google, even college students do not know much about google!! Everytime Baidu and google fight with each other, those patriots advocate that Baidu is a chinese high-tech company, while google is the agent of white house. And the Chinese should not use google. You know what, li yan hong, CEO of baidu said the following day after google's exit "Should we occupy the HONG KONG market?" A real disgrace, shame on him.

usually. I love google , I hate baidu. BUT,I want to do my own work quickly ,so,I choose baidu.only when I coundn't found the message i want, I use google
The best example is if you find any stuff on google.cn and baidu.com - baidu has more advanced and clear details of the inner china than google.cn
Habit is powerful. Most Chinese people are used to get what they want in Baidu.com. And SEOers prefer to use Goolge.cn.
I am Chinese too. i don't use google.cn to search Chinese websites, it is not as good as baidu. but i use google.com every day. I care when China Government will free youtube, picasa, twitter, facebook and so on................ today i even found tables.googlelabs.com is blocked, dont know what to say.
I have say that although I´m not on Chinese markets (at least at the moment) I did rank well on Baidu so gotta love it.
Yes just wish that all these services get started. I dont think it will only because of the Government who still wants to control their citizens like Hitler did.
Agreed- habit is powerful. Also, there's just a different type of user... habit (for a lack of a better word) that Chinese searchers find comfortable with Baidu over Google. Though - I guess it's not so much of an issue now; now that Google.cn is outta here.
Exactly, it's the main reason. Further more, Baidu's extended services are really powerful, even include the largest Chinese wikipedia (baike) and Ask.com (zhidao). When all these web2.0 elements are combined into one, you can see how it addict local people.
