"if you get what i mean ? Do you think domains with HYPHENS in them are worth creating websites on ?"

I'll personally recommend to avoid them at all cost. They're a pain to get them ranked in top of Google and even Yahoo, MSN for some reason is different with them. One of my domains took 11 full months to get top rankings for a keyword term keywordtracker deemed without much competition (less than 369,000 sites with keyphrase) and the keyword density was 35%+ in domain name.

Not user-friendly and I might not remember your site in a few weeks, so you might want to consider NO HYPHENS.

You might want to ask yourself if "hyphens" are sexy...it might help;)

User could not be comfortable with hyphen in domain name but it can be really useful for search engine because search engine treat hyphen as blank space. According to users compatibility, you can select following options.
    1. Your website url should be without hyphen(-). it will be more easy to your visitor to open your website.
    2. Your website web pages should have name relate to your page theme and space should be replaced with hyphen(-).
    3. Make your website navigation easy to visitor so that they can reach easily at any required page and get relevant information.
    4. Lead generation and conversion is very important for any website. Be concentrate on your required business and focus this at your website.

The biggest search engine that still gives considerable weight to keywords in domains is YAHOO.

I speak from experience when I tell you that hyphens in the domain name DO NOT matter whatsoever. I have a .tv domain with 2 hyphens in it with a top 10 ranking in Google for an extremely competitive 2 word phrase in the adult niche.

Completely Agree with Harrison. Good keywords in domain but at the end of the day , it also is an identity of the site. Visitors coming once should remember the domain for long.

Not just that , though there has been a lot of buzz around taking these hyphens, I am still in dilemma if it really makes a difference. Say, at various instances, I have seen that when i give a product name or any phrase which contained two keyword with space between them, domains which had the same phrase without the space or hyphen appears in the results and also the phrase is highlighted. For eg. if i give laptops india, i get domains with laptopsindia highlighted. How would you take this.

    Keyword-Keyword.com 10/10

As said above there is no any difference, except that if you have more than one hyphen it might be hard to remember, but so is and with the long domains. However, Who remembers many URLs these days - they are being mailed, bookmarked and so on.

All my sites have 1 hyphen, except one which has 2. Most of them, o which I concentrate are doing very well, so absolutely no problem with the hyphens.

domain with hypens will create problem bcoz its difficult to remember the domain so people won't able to come to your site. So avoid it. If you well know some company then no problem.

As far as I know if you are using more than three words in domain name then hypens are good elso no need to use hyphens, it's not seo friendly.
